Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, has announced the students achieving the Dean's List designation for the 2019 spring semester. To be eligible for the ASU Dean's List, full-time undergraduate students must maintain at least a 3.25 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. Some 3,275 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 218th commencement ceremonies. Darren Walker who presides over the Ford Foundation, one of the world's most influential social justice philanthropies and one of the largest private foundations in the United States, delivered the address.

Chadron State College announces 373 students met requirements for the Fall 2018 Dean's List by earning at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Students must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours of coursework during the semester to qualify.

Eight Chadron State College Army ROTC cadets and First Lt. Scot Mullis, assistant professor of Military Science, traveled to Washington D.C., Oct. 5-8 for the Army's 10 Miler race, and to tour Arlington National Cemetery, the National Mall, and attend the Army USA conference. Mullis said he is proud CSC's team ranked 41st in a field of 96 teams comprised of about 35,000 runners. "It's an impressive finish for a small program competing against larger programs," Mullis said.

In a ceremony on Saturday, April 29, 2017, more than 400 Fort Lewis College graduates and their families packed Whalen Gymnasium for Fall Commencement. The speaker chosen to offer the Commencement Address was Kevin Gover, director of the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian.

Several local residents made the academic Deans' List at Azusa Pacific University. These students are honored for a spring 2017 grade-point average of 3.5 or better. They are joined by 1,957 students receiving the same honor.
